Welcome to my Portfolio

This fine curation is a vomit of all my judgements, an autopsy of bad ideas and and the marketing myths we burn for warmth.

Projects

In my 4 years of Design I have made exactly 4 pieces of furniture. 2 of which can never see the light of day.

And here are the other 2...

MAANDI

2021

This chair was designed and made both by me and for me. Its dimensions are selfishly uncomfortable for the average sized human being. The seat is in the shape of an ellipse that came to be when I sat on a tracing sheet with my legs crossed. Utterly frustrated and and somewhat tired, I began to trace my  boundaries. The resulting ellipse was then transferred and later cut out of a piece of MDF.  Mandi is made entirely out of recycled material so she came with her flaws. I used her extensively for over 3 years before she retired to rust in my backyard.

DAMRU

2023

Inspired by the shape of the musical instrument and the pliability of cane, Damru is a reading chair perfect for a laid back read. Its swing like elasticity allows you to nestle into it like a hammock. This chair too is made entirely of recycled MS pipes and TMT rods. The chair lived on and moved campuses along with the rest of Srishti. It lived in the social limelight for nearly 2 years before he was kidnapped and repurposed.
